Wonderful hotel, breakfast was satisfactory, amazing location close to everything. The room was reasonably large and compact with magnificent views of the marina. The beds were comfy and the staff was absolutely courteous.

Really enjoyed our stay, and can just recommend the hotel. Everything was good, stunning location to the entire island of Sao Miguel, the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was satisfactory with eggs, the juice and filled with local products and attention to detail.

The breakfast was satisfactory with meat, the juice and also fresh Azorean dairy products, we were pleasantly surprised. The personnel was courteous and really good, and the hotel had an elegant feeling.

Elegant atmosphere, even so some people working here are not particularly friendly. We stay in budget double room quite often, it is spotless and compact.

Views are not so nice.

We had an incredible experience at Gaivota Azores. The helpfulness of the staff exceeded our expectations. When we arrived late at night, we were greeted by Jason, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He organized our daily tours, got us whale-seeing tickets, and even helped us secure ferry tickets to Santa Maria. Jason's friendly attitude made our honeymoon so special. The location of the hotel was also ideal, and the delicious breakfast provided a great start to our days. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good breakfast with lots of food options.

Repeption / room allocation very poor. I booked 4 identical rooms. One of them tiny. They were totally uncompensating. . . Parking situation is terrible.

Our room was relatively small and narrow, but it was clean. The view was into the backyard. The only annoying thing was the buzzing minibar right next to the bed. It would be nice if the minibar was in another place. There were no parking spaces, but the city parking was right outside the door. (about 8€ for over 12 hours). The breakfast was very tasty, which included some sausage and cheese, but there were many varieties of pancakes and fresh fruit. All in all, it cost the money we paid.

Great central location with shops, restaurants, and a central square nearby. Room had a bathroom, sitting area, and kitchen. Upgraded to an apartment with a marina view. Friendly and supportive staff. Amazing breakfast with tasty cheese balls. Comfortable bed with crisp bedding.

The breakfast at Gaivota Azores was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the heart of all the restaurants and main city attractions. The room was comfortable and clean, and we appreciated the daily complimentary water bottle. The Wi-Fi speed was also impressive.

We thought that we had booked an apartment as we planned to self-cater, but were given a hotel room. We decided not to fuss about this and accepted the arrangement. The upstairs room was pleasant, spacious and clean with windows into a courtyard. The location couldn't be better - across from the marina and next to a supermarket, restaurants, pavement cafes and services. The breakfast room has a pleasant courtyard outlook- a plentiful variety of foods but not-so-good coffee.
